1.1- Low Voltage Cables:

 

This family includes:

A. Single core cable, solid, standard or flexible circular copper conductor (CU/PVC). 450 / 750 Volts - Copper Conductor PVC Insulated - used for installation in surface mounted or embedded conduits or similar closed systems; it is suitable for use in channels with cover, as well as it is suitable for fixed protected installation in or on light fittings and inside appliances, switchgear and control gear, for voltages up to 1000V a.c. or up to 750 V to earth d.c.

 

   

 

B. PVC insulated flexible cord (NYZ) - 300 / 300 Volts - PVC Insulated Flexible Cord

Used in dry room for fixed installation where particular flexibility is required. They can be laid in conduits over or under the walls as well as steel support brackets. These are used for light portable appliances such as lamps, TV sets and table fans.

 

 

C. Flat-Twin & Flat-Three Core Cable (CU/PVC/PVC) 220 / 380 Volts - PVC Insulated PVC Sheathed, 300/500 Volts - PVC Insulated PVC sheathed Flat Cables

 These cables are used for installation in surface mounted or embedded

conduits, or similar closed systems.

 

      

 

D. Indoor Multi Core Flexible Cable-300/300 Volts - PVC Insulated PVC Sheathed Flexible Cables, 300/500 Volts - PVC Insulated PVC sheathed Flexible Cables

These cords are used in domestic premises, kitchens, offices, for household

appliances, including damp situation. They are suitable for connecting washing

machines, spin extractor, refrigerators, portable lamps, fans, vacuum cleaners,

TV and household heating and ventilating apparatus, where the cord can not

be in touch with a surface temperature exceeding 85؛C

 

 

E. Multicore Cables, with Stranded Aluminum Conductors, PVC Insulated and PVC Sheathed 0.6/1 (1.2) kV

Multicore cables of stranded Aluminum conductors are insulated with PVC compound rated 70C, assembled together, covered with overall jacket of PVC compound. cables are produced according to IEC 60502.

For outdoor and indoor installations in damp and wet locations.

 

 

F. Multicore Cables, with Stranded Copper Conductors, PVC Insulated, Steel Tape Armored and PVC Sheathed 0.6/1 (1.2) kV

Multicore cables of stranded Copper conductors are insulated with PVC compound rated 70C, assembled together, armored with steel tape and covered with overall jacket of PVC compound. Cables are produced according to IEC 60502

For outdoor installations in damp and wet locations, where mechanical damages are expected to occur

 

 

G. Multicore Cables, with Stranded Aluminum Conductors, PVC Insulated, Steel Tape Armored and PVC Sheathed 0.6/1 (1.2) kV

Multicore cables of stranded Aluminum conductors are insulated with PVC compound rated 70C, assembled together, armored with steel tape and covered with overall jacket of PVC compound. Cables are produced according to IEC 60502

1.2- Medium Voltage Cables

 

This family includes

 

  1. Single & Three Cores Aluminum Conductors, XLPE Insulated and PVC Sheathed 6/10 (12) kV

      Stranded circular compacted Aluminum conductor, semiconducting layer as conductor screen, XLPE insulated, semiconducting layer as non metallic insulation screen, Copper tape or wire as metallic insulation screen, three cores assembled together with non hygroscopic Polypropylene fillers, wrapped with binder tape and PVC sheathed. Cables are produced according to IEC 60502 or BS 6622.

These cables are generally suitable for direct burial or for installation on trays or in ducts.

 

 

  1. Three Cores Copper or Aluminum Conductors, XLPE Insulated, Steel Tape Armored and PVC Sheathed 6/10 (12) kV

       Stranded circular compacted Copper or Aluminum conductor, semiconducting layer as conductor screen, XLPE
insulated, semiconducting layer as non metallic insulation screen, Copper tape or wire as metallic insulation screen, three cores assembled together with non hygroscopic Polypropylene fillers, wrapped with binder tape, covered
with a layer of PVC compound as a bedding, steel wire armored and PVC sheathed. Cables are produced according to IEC 60502 or BS 6622.

These cables are generally suitable for direct burial or for installation on trays or in ducts

 

 

  1. Three Cores Copper or Aluminum Conductors, XLPE Insulated, Steel Wire Armored and PVC Sheathed 6/10 (12) kV

1.3- High & Extra high Voltage Cables

 

a. Single Core Copper Conductor, XLPE insulated, Copper Wire Screen and HDPE Sheathed 38 / 66 (72.5) kV

Stranded circular or segmantal compacted copper conductor, semi-conducting layer as conductor screen, XLPE insulated, semi-conducting layer as non metallic insulation screen, Semi-conductive water blocking tape, copper wire as metallic insulation screen to withstand the required earth fault current, non-conductive water blocking tape
to protect the screen area from longitudinal water penetration, copolymer aluminum tape to protect the cable from radial water penetration and HDPE sheathed with graphite coating or extruded semi-conducting layer. Cables are designed and tested to comply with IEC 60228, 60840 and 60811

 

 

 

b. Single Core Copper Conductor, XLPE insulated, Copper Wire Screen and HDPE Sheathed 76 / 132 (145) kV

Stranded circular or segmental compacted copper conductor, semi-conducting layer as conductor screen, XLPE insulated, semi-conducting layer as non metallic insulation screen, Semi-conductive water blocking tape, copper wire as metallic insulation screen to withstand the required earth fault current, non-conductive water blocking tape to protect the screen area from longitudinal water penetration, copolymer aluminum tape to protect the cable from radial water penetration and HDPE sheathed with graphite coating or extruded semi-conducting layer. Cables are designed and tested to comply with IEC 60228, 60840 and 60811.

 

 c. Single Core Copper Conductor, XLPE insulated, Lead Sheathed and HDPE Sheathed 76 / 132 (145) kV

Stranded circular or segmental compacted copper conductor, semi-conducting layer as conductor screen, XLPE insulated, semi-conducting layer as non metallic insulation screen, semi conductive water blocking tape to protect the screen area from longitudinal water penetration, lead sheathed with suitable thickness to withstand the required earth fault current and HDPE sheathed with graphite coating or extruded semi-conducting layer. Cables are designed and tested to comply with IEC 60228, 60840 and 60811.

 

d. Single Core Copper Conductor, XLPE insulated, Copper Wire Screen and HDPE Sheathed 127 / 220 (245) kV

Stranded circular or segmental compacted copper conductor, semi-conducting layer as conductor screen, XLPE insulated, semi-conducting layer as non metallic insulation screen, Semi-conductive water blocking tape, copper wire as metallic insulation screen to withstand the required earth fault current, non-conductive water blocking tape to protect the screen area from longitudinal water penetration, copolymer aluminum tape to protect the cable from radial water penetration and HDPE sheathed with graphite coating or extruded semi-conducting layer. Cables are designed and tested to comply with IEC 60228, 62067 and 60811.

 

 

 

e. Single Core Copper Conductor, XLPE insulated, Lead Sheathed and HDPE Sheathed 127 / 220 (245) kV

Stranded circular or segmental compacted copper conductor, semi-conducting layer as conductor screen, XLPE insulated, semi-conducting layer as non metallic insulation screen, semi conductive water blocking tape to protect the screen area from longitudinal water penetration, lead sheathed with suitable thickness to withstand the required earth fault current and HDPE sheathed with graphite coating or extruded semi-conducting layer. Cables are designed and tested to comply with IEC 60228, 62067 and 60811.
